This post is very late, but I just had to share some of the moments I captured during our Dr. Seuss weeks at preschool! We were so lucky to have guest readers each day share the gift of reading with our children! Thank you parents for volunteering to read, they loved it! Here are just a few highlights from our fun filled weeks! A favorite day was Wacky Wednesday! Throughout the day preschoolers found "wacky" things around the school! Toilet paper in the writing center, toothbrushes in the pens and a shoe on the wall! So silly! Friends colored under the table and cut and weaved yarn, string and streamers on an upside-down table. We read The Lorax and then practiced color matching and fine motor skills by stringing beads on truffela trees, and painted our own trufella trees. The loved the "fizzy feet" activity that went along with the Foot Book, anything with baking soda and vinegar is a crowd pleaser for sure! We enjoyed some Dr. Seuss themed snacks, our favorite being Thing One and Thing Two! Thank you Ms. Jess and Isla for all your time and patience making them for us, they were almost too cute to eat! Almost! :)
